What We’ll Learn – Session-by-Session
Session 1: Sums and Differences to 10 – Master addition and subtraction strategies using number bonds, ten frames, and hands-on models.
Session 2: Place Value with Teen Numbers – Understand tens and ones using visual tools and compare numbers within 20.
Session 3: Comparing Numbers – Use math talk to describe and compare numbers using <, >, and = symbols.
Session 4: Measuring Length – Measure with standard and non-standard tools and describe length in real-world situations.
Session 5: Time to the Hour and Half-Hour – Read analog clocks and relate time to familiar daily routines.
Session 6: Addition Strategies to 40 – Add and subtract using number lines, base ten blocks, and mental math.
Session 7: Subtraction Within 40 – Use visual models to solve word problems and explain thinking clearly.
Session 8: Geometry and Building Shapes – Explore 2D and 3D shapes and recognize halves and fourths through creative tasks.
Session 9: Numbers to 120 – Count, skip-count, and explore patterns in numbers while writing and comparing values.
Session 10: Money and Problem Solving – Identify coins, solve coin-based word problems, and celebrate all we’ve learned.
